Lots more updates have piled up for the last couple weeks, let's get to it.
  • The Terror season finish, will probably return in 2020 for another season.
  • Better Than Us will probably return for another season in 2020.
  • Carnival Row will return for another season in 2020.
  • The Dark Crystal will probably return for another season in 2020.
  • The A List season is available for binging.
  • Arrow final season has begun, 10 episodes.
  • Impulse season is available for binging.
  • Watchmen season has begun.
  • Castle Rock season has begun, will run until December 11.
  • Daybreak season is available for binging.
  • Emergence season has begun, and added to the list.
  • Raising Dion season available for binging, and added to the list.
  • Living with Yourself season is available for binging, and added to the list.
  • Good Witch Halloween special has aired, will return for the next season in 2020.
  • The Outsider added, premieres January 12. "Based on Stephen King's bestselling novel of the same name, the drama series explores the investigation into the gruesome murder of a local boy and the mysterious force surrounding the case."
  • Mortel dated for November 21.
  • The Witcher will probably start in December.
  • MST3K pushed to Fall 2020 at the earliest.
  • Walking Dead spinoff dated for Spring.
  • Batwoman has been picked up for the rest of the full season of 22 episodes.
  • Paranormal is now going into production, so I am dating for "Spring?"
  • neXt has been pushed to Spring.
  • Helstrom dated for 2020.
  • Doctor Who will return some time in 2020, no Christmas/New Years special.
  • Cloak and Dagger canceled.
  • Mob Psycho 100 I am pushing to canceled.
  • Evil renewed.

    All other shows labeled as "Fall" have been pushed to Winter.

    Today's Development Hell
  • DMZ (HBO) - DC (future) civil war comic. "Chronicles the harrowing journey of a fierce female medic who saves lives while desperately searching for her lost son. But as she contends with the gangs, militias, demagogues and warlords that control this lawless no man’s land, she becomes the unlikely source of what everyone here has lost: hope."
  • Repeat (CBS) - Based on a Japanese time travel series. "The opportunity to travel back 10 months to relive their pasts seems like an incredible gift to a group of strangers, giving them the chance to right wrongs, undo mistakes, and set their lives on a better path, but their new choices have unforeseen results as they unravel a larger conspiracy with deadly consequences."
  • The Vault (NBC) - Post-apocalyptic. "When a cataclysmic event seemingly wipes out the planet, the survival of humanity rests upon Annie, a geobiologist who has been setting up a state-of-the-art facility in the Arctic known as the Vault. It houses a dozen experts in their respective fields all with specific skill sets that would be essential in rebuilding civilization."
  • The Shelley Society (HBO Max) - "A mash-up of gothic horror and teen romance featuring young Mary Shelley."
  • The Brides (HBO Max) - "A reimagining of the Brides of Dracula."
  • Dante's Inferno (Freeform) - "Grace Dante, who thought her life sucked. Between parenting her drug addict mother and her troubled brother, our 20-something hero has had to give up all her dreams. Then one day everything changes and her dreams start magically coming true, school, career, love… but the godfather of all this good fortune is the Devil himself. And to outwit him, she’ll have to journey through Dante’s Inferno."
  • Superman & Lois (CW) - "Will follow the world’s most famous Super Hero and comic books’ most famous journalist as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society." Super hero sitcom?
  • The 100 prequel (CW) - Backdoor pilot, depends on how well received the episode will be in season 7 of The 100. "It starts with the end of the world, a nuclear apocalypse that wipes out most of the human population on Earth, and follows a band of survivors on the ground as they learn to cope in a dangerous world while fighting to create a new and better society from the ashes of what came before."
  • October 7, 2019 Update

  • September 27, 2019 Update

    Today's Update:
  • American Horror Story season has begun, will run until November 20.
  • Glitch season is now bingeable.
  • Evil season has begun.
  • The Good Place season has begun.
  • Creepshow season has begun, 2 episodes every week, until October 31.
  • Van Helsing season begins tonight.
  • Killjoys series finished.
  • The Outpost season finished, probably canceled (but that is also what I said last year).
  • Ghost Rider has been canceled by Hulu while in production.
  • Battlestar Galactica reboot picked up by NBC's upcoming streaming service, Peacock.
  • Equinox picked up by Netflix, Danish. "Supernatural thriller about a young woman named Anna, who is affected by the unexplainable disappearance of a school class in 1999."
  • Obi-Wan Kenobi picked up by Disney+. I somehow missed the announcement last month.
  • Invisible City renamed from Invisible Cities.
  • Daybreak dated for October 24.
  • His Dark Materials dated for November 4.
  • The Lord of the Rings pre-production has just started, so I am pushing to 2020 (probably Fall).
  • Aeon Flux I am pushing to 2020.
  • Space Force I am pushing to Winter.
  • Stargirl I am pushing to Winter.
  • Mars I am putting in the canceled section, since there has still been no announcement of a 3rd season.
  • New Warriors is now dead, being removed from the list.
  • Wellington Paranormal (New Zealand) was planned to be released in the US, but it still hasn't happened, so am moving it to 2020. There is a 2nd season planned, so it may still get picked up by one of the many streaming services.
    I also added about 10 missing links.
    Next month I will clean up most of the Netflix shows and push them to 2020.

    Development Hell:
  • Triangle (ABC) - ABC has passed on Triangle after they saw the pilot.
  • The Archived (CW) - "Follows the eldest child in a family of ghost hunters, Bex. Bex has trained her entire life for the day she'll take up the mantle of "the chosen one." But when her dad dies and her local-weather-girl sister wakes up with the familial powers instead, these night-and-day sisters will have to figure out how to work together and save the world."
  • Spoonbenders (Showtime) - Pilot commitment. "The Amazing Telemachus Family, a traveling family magic act — that happened to be made up of people with actual magic powers — and the tragedy that finds them 25 years later, forced to reunite when old debts, long-running grudges, the mob, and the CIA all come looking for them."
  • Arrow spinoff (CW) - Backdoor pilot, meaning an episode that will air in the upcoming final season of Arrow. If it is well-received, CW will pick it up to series. Based on Green Arrow & the Black Canaries.
  • September 12, 2019 Update

    Today's Update:
  • Titans season has begun, finale on November 29
  • The I-Land is now bingeable.
  • Stranger Things will return, probably next Summer.
  • Pandora finale dated for October 1.
  • The Outpost finale dated for September 26.
  • Impulse dated for October 16.

  • Amazing Stories, I am pushing to 2020.
  • Into the Night picked up by Netflix. "The sun inexplicably starts killing everything in its path. The show centers around the 'lucky' passengers and crew of an overnight flight out of Brussels, as they attempt to fly west - into the safety of the dark night."

    Development Hell:
  • Fire & Blood (HBO) - Game of Thrones prequel will likely get a pilot order soon. "Starts off with Aegon the Conqueror, creator of the Iron Throne, and goes on to recount the generations of Targaryens who fought to hold the throne, all the way up to the civil war, known as the Dance of the Dragons, that nearly tore their dynasty apart."
  • The Testaments (Hulu) - The Handmaid's Tale spinoff (15 years later) based on the just released book.
  • Brain Trust (NBC) - "What would you do if you could project your mind into another person’s body? What if you could experience the life of anyone you wanted? The Brain Trust centers on a group of young grad students who have developed cutting-edge technology to do just that, but they soon will learn that everything has consequences — some darker than they could have ever imagined."
  • Dark Shadows: Reincarnation (CW) - Based on the 1966 gothic horror soap opera.
  • August 30, 2019 Update

  • Book of Enchantment (Disney+) - Disney pulled the plug on this development.
  • Event Horizon (Amazon) - Based on the 1997 sci-fi horror film.
  • Untitled (ABC) - Marvel female superhero.
  • Triangle (ABC) - Still in the works, waiting to "make a final decision when the editing of the show is completed, and it has all special effects."
  • The Bridgewater Triangle (FX) - "Everyone’s heard of the Bermuda Triangle, but there’s a far more terrifying place known as The Bridgewater Triangle in southeastern Massachusetts. It’s an actual area of well-documented supernatural activity that covers 17 small towns and 200 square miles of New England. The Bridgewater Triangle is an apocalyptic horror thriller set in these small towns. When a massive paranormal event strikes these 17 communities simultaneously, it turns these idyllic towns upside down and affects thousands of lives. Three estranged siblings must somehow survive and come together in the chaos as the only ones who can stop it."
