My first Development Hell list in almost a year. In going through the shows I added to my tracking list last year, I did come across 2 more shows to add to the big list: La Brea and DMZ.
The Brides (ABC) - "A sexy contemporary reimagining of “Dracula,” is a family drama with a trio of powerful female leads at its heart. With strong horror elements, “The Brides” is a vampire soap about empowered, immortal women and the things they do to maintain wealth, prestige, legacy — and their nontraditional family."
The League of Pan (Syfy) - "A limited series extending the adventures of the iconic fairytale about a group of misfit children who refused to grow up"
Sleeping Beauties (AMC) - Based on the novel by Owen and Stephen King. "In a small Appalachian town, there's a strange mystical occurrence that causes all the women to fall asleep, leaving the men to try and rescue them. But do the women want to be rescued?"
Echo (NBC) - "Revolving around a team of investigators who solve the highest-profile crimes by sending our heroes into the past … in the body of the victim. They assume the victim’s identity and must race against time to prevent the crime before it happens."
The Lost Boys (CW) - This has been on again, off again over and over for the last 10 years or so.
Ghosts (CBS) - Remake of a British show. "A struggling young couple’s dreams come true when they inherit a beautiful country house, only to find it’s both falling apart and inhabited by many of the deceased previous residents."
Mitchcraft () - "Follows a small town fire marshal who realizes he may have inadvertently harnessed the power of the Supernatural and become, for lack of a better term, a witch."
Shining Vale (Starz) - "Rosemary has been roaming the halls of Pat’s new house for 70 years, searching for a vulnerable soul to live vicariously through. She sees in Pat a kindred spirit: Like Pat, she was unfulfilled in her role as a dutiful housewife — and as a result, she may or may not have slaughtered her entire family, straightened up the house, then took her own life in the bathtub that Pat now uses to relax. In any case, Rosemary promises to help Pat get her groove back and finish her novel, if Pat will simply agree to let Rosemary “come inside her,” a bargain that may haunt Pat forever."
Bunny (AMC) - "A lonely student is drawn into a mysterious clique of girls called The Bunnies and begins to partake in their strange off-campus ritual - conjuring boys from rabbits, where the good ones stay as romantic partners and the bad ones are mercilessly axed."
The Sparrow (FX) - "Follows a band of Jesuit priests and scientists, led by linguist Father Emilio Sandoz, who makes first contact with extraterrestrial life. The Vatican backs a secret trip to the distant planet with the purpose of proving the existence of God throughout the universe. Things don’t quite go as planned."
The Winter King (Epix) - "Adaptation of Bernard Cornwell's trilogy of Arthurian novels, The Warlord Chronicles."
