Today's Development Hell shows are from less than 6 months ago, so they should be pretty active still.
  • Resident Evil (Netflix) - Based on the movies and video games.
  • The Lost Boys (CW) - Reboot of the 80s movie. This has been in the works for a long time with multiple pilots and reworkings done. They are currently reworking the latest pilot.
  • Cipher (Syfy) - "Secret military technology is unexpectedly implanted in the brain of a 13-year-old video game junkie, when the boy and his father unwittingly find themselves at the center of the next great war — over artificial intelligence."
  • Triangle (ABC) - Pilot was made, still in possible contention for a mid-season pickup the last I heard. "What if the Bermuda Triangle was not a watery grave in the middle of the ocean, but a land lost in time that has trapped travelers over the course of human history? When a family is shipwrecked in this strange land, they must band together with a group of like-minded inhabitants — from throughout history — to survive and somehow find a way home."
  • Alive (CBS) - Pilot was made, possible still in contention for a mid-season pickup. "A San Francisco homicide detective who's mysteriously brought back to life after being killed in the line of duty, but as he resumes his old life and he and his wife realize he isn't the same person he used to be, they zero in on the strange man behind his resurrection – Dr. Victor Frankenstein."
  • Bewitched (ABC) - Reboot of 60s series. Maybe mid-season or next Fall. "Samantha, a Black hardworking, single mom, who happens to be a witch, marries Darren, a White mortal who happens to be a bit of a slacker. They struggle to navigate their differences as she discovers that even when a Black girl is literally magic, she’s still not as powerful as a decently tall White man with a full head of hair in America."
  • Talent (Fox) - "Nicole Dane, who wakes up in a hospital and learns she is the sole survivor of a tragic accident that claimed the lives of 148 people. As rumors around her 'miraculous' survival begin to swirl, Dane discovers she has inherited the talents of those who perished. Armed with these new abilities, she must use her second chance to bring closure to their unfinished stories and solve the mystery of the accident, all while trying to escape a past that continues to haunt her."
  • The 4400 (CW) - Reboot of 2004 series. Might happen next year.
  • They Both Die at the End (HBO) - Based on book by Adam Silvera, produced by J.J. Abrams. "Set in the near-future where everyone receives a bureaucratic phone call notifying them at the start of their last day on Earth, They Both Die at the End follows a seemingly disparate group of people as they live their scary, funny, weird, hopeful, romantic, and unexpected final hours, all connected through the two teenage boys at the heart of the New York Times best-selling novel on which it is based."
  • Book of Enchantment (Disney+) - Based on the Villains book series written by Serena Valentino. Classic Disney tales told from the villains' perspectives.
